Comparing Markdown and LaTex is silly. One is intended for intuitive plain text input, the other is, as the author points out, almost a full postscript style programming language. I don’t know what mdoc is optimizing for, but it’s sure not intuitive. This post feels like a rant by someone who’s just having a bad day. Not sure why it’s even on HN.
