Meta confirms ongoing outage impacting Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp
- lieuwex 3y agoI don't get why Meta’s Ads Manager platform would bring down WhatsApp, which doesn't have ads?
- mattashii 3y ago(This is pure dark speculation) WhatsApp might forward all message metadata to ads manager so that the user's ads profile can be further improved. If the ads manager platform then goes down, the pipes for this data flow will fill up, and if it is not built to be able to handle a backlog WhatsApp may go down, too.
