It doesn't seem Jung really did the world any favors with this concept. He introduced highly inadequate terms that are mostly used to pigeonhole people into a simple box that supposedly sums up all their behavior. Turning it into a linear scale doesn't make it any better. Don't like big crowds? Learn how to like big crowds. Don't know how to be with your own thoughts for a long time? Learn to do it. Don't say it can't be done, I've done it, and I've been told I have a learning disability. No one should lock themselves, or others, into a "personality" box, and all this nonsense should be entirely disregarded.
