I agree, but I wouldn't worry too much. This just adds new functionalities that weren't previously possible using straightforward documents, and may save some bandwidth and time by reducing the need for back-and-forth request/response to CGI servers for doing small calculations that could take place on the client. As this has no relevance for serving and requesting pure documents there will be no need for us to use a java-script capable web browser if all we want is to read websites.
