As the site grows the number of people interested in any specific tech gets smaller while the number of people interested in lifestyle posts (politics being a major category of those) grows. Ruby and or Rust specific posts get much less upvotes and lifestyle posts get much more upvotes and the frontpage with its limited real estate becomes less and less specific tech related. The problem will only continue to get worse as the population of users grows. AI is new and of interest to lots of people so its closer to a lifestyle post at this point than it is a pytorch post that most people would not even click on.
