Lean times hit the vertical farming business

  With a background as an agronomist before switching careers I have often been skeptical on here about vertical farming companies. Quite simply the numbers never added up for me. How they got investment, much less venture investment always baffled me. Rarely if ever can you make VC level returns (outside of software) in agriculture.

    This does feel like another "casualty" of the end of free money, with the rise of interest rates. I think this is a bit like the "metaverse" concept, in that's it's sexy, it promises the sun and the moon, it can be explained in appealing ways to non-technical people... and it probably isn't actually something we want or need.
