Guy I know used to drink diet coke decades ago. In the 80's he started getting bad reactions. Terrible migraines with tunnel vision. He'd be useless for hours. He was told at the time "it rots your brain." He stopped but it would continue if he ever accidentally consumed aspartame. I never really knew what to make of it, and always wondered if there was a connection with PKU disorder.
