Threads follows Twitter in limiting number of posts that users can see
- 3cats-in-a-coat 3y agoEvery platform has limits on its APIs. There's no such thing as unlimited API. This has been done forever. Threads said if anyone ever sees a problem to let them know, as no user should see an error during use. Unlike Elon who dropped the limits to 5 minutes of browsing for regular users (and then in few days effectively brought them up so much, that almost no one gets errors).
- 2Gkashmiri 3y agowhat the fuck is wrong with these devs? how is text consumption more than photos and videos? instagram does not have any limits but text? what? facebook, instagram, whatsapp, telegram all are heavy video and audio and photos so whats the point?
- 3cats-in-a-coat 3y agoThreads is not just text, it has images and videos. Also they just did the right thing and said "we may apply rate limiting, which you shouldn't see, if you do see it, tell us". It's not supposed to be like Twitter in the first 2-3 days, where you hit the limit after 10 minutes.
- vitorgrs 3y agoThis is false. It's only on actions (comments, posting). No rate limits to see posts.
