I suspect this is a different problem, i.e., people outside of .MIL trying to send email into .MIL and mistyping the TLD. If so, there's not a whole lot DOD can do since the email is originating outside of DOD controlled systems.
- bell-cot 3y agoMaybe. But where, exactly, are all those fat-fingered users with access to sensitive military information? At contractors? Idea: Have one of the Creeps-R-Us departments or 3-letter agencies do uber-basic monitoring of emails sent from ~all government & contractor email servers for users having access to sensitive information. With a bit of common sense and an intern bright enough to write Perl scripts, they might notice all sorts of security problems. As is - it sounds like Sgt. McSpy could be sending whatever he wants to info@fsb.ru, and the US Govt. would never notice.
