Why did you decide to go with this instead of a cross platform scripting language like Python, Ruby, or Perl? In both cases you need a custom runtime compiled from C or C++ code.
- arturadib 15y agoPDF.js is a JavaScript project - that's the language we know for sure all our contributors speak :)
- MatthewPhillips 15y agoNode.js is just as cross-platform as any of those.
- tikhonj 15y agoJavaScript is also a cross-platform scripting language. Coincidentally, it's nice to see JavaScript being used for a much larger variety of tasks. I think it's a very underrated language.
