I am not a lawyer and I don’t defend what Shein has done, but racketeering seems like the wrong description for this? Maybe the plaintiffs are really stretching for a legal theory bc what shein has done is not illegal, even if it is wrong?
- nailer 3y agoMy understanding is that racketeering is an organised scheme to violate the law in way to create a profit. Which would be an accurate description of systematically mining the Internet for IP to violate.
