Back in the '80s I spent a summer working in a repair department for a group of Nuclear Medicine facilities. Once I was inside the cabinet of a gamma camera [0], installing a custom board. I had been careful enough to turn off the 240VAC power by throwing the unit's external breaker, but forgot that the breaker had internal terminals that were still at 240VAC. I brushed the back of my hand against the terminals, and zzznap!
The current burned a path across the back of my hand. Luckily my bouncing around inside the cabinet didn't break anything. Took a few weeks to heal.
