More than 75% of the Ethereum nodes are hosted under AWS, and that’s not even the main centralisation issue (see Ethereum foundation).
So I don’t see how can we “construct” something here.
- ETH_start 3y agoIt's much less than 75%. It's a significant fraction, but the exact same thing applies to Bitcoin. In any case, there are thousands of nodes not on AWS, so the network would be fine in the event that AWS shut down. And the Ethereum Foundation provides a modest sum for research. It controls less than 0.3% of ETH's supply. It's a non-factor in terms of centralization.
