This seems like a particularly (intentionally?) poorly written article, if something this brief counts as an 'article'.
The Wall Street Journal reported that a VC warned that silicon valley venture backed startups are facing significant challenges and we'll see many close their doors in the next 6 months.
This author responds and says, "Yeah well there are new restaurants opening up so ..." I don't know how to complete that sentence because I'm not sure I understand their point?
The original article wasn't talking about the economy at large, it was specific in its focus. The author doesn't dispute anything the original article says.
