The worst are multiplayer games that don’t let you join a party with your friends before playing a long single player tutorial. You arrive late, you want to join, your friends will teach you anything you need to know anyway. But a self-absorbed designer decided to spoon-feed you what each individual button does over the next 20 minutes.
- Claude_Shannon 3y agoGranblue Fantasy Versus did similar stuff. It's Discord fighter by now... That locks creating room behind completing 5 matches against AI and 2 ranked matches against people. Even if you just want to play with friends.
- Karsteski 3y agoLegends of Runeterra does this. When my friend introduced me to it, I had to grind through a long ass tutorial before I could play vs. him. Terrible beginner experience for a card game, which is otherwise a fantastic game
