- IIsi50MHz 3y agoI've never seen this show, yet it seems we are unable to convince Hulu accept enough money to not show ads. Some parts, like the Live TV addon are almost understandable, but still…disappointing. Especially when the not actually watching live (via start-over or 'recording') yet the ads are somehow still unskippable. Other times, a random item on a network where we've not seen ads wild suddenly have ads. And there's usually no way to know before trying to watch something if it will be bastardised by ads. We could try revealing the progressbar every time we start a show, to look for the yellow marks that indicate ads…but somehow always just watch until the first frustration appears, and then decide whether to continue. At least some pay-extra addon channels can be relied on to not have ads (unless you count a leader that tells about some other show that channel has). Hulu and Prime seem very much "FU, pay me.". Especially Prime, with all the attempts to get me to either rent-or-'buy' or watch things with ads, and making it increasingly difficult to identify or find items that are included with the existing subscriptions.
- lastofthemojito 3y agoThat list has dwindled, which is good. It definitely used to have more shows on it - when I experienced this issue a few years ago it was not with Grey's Anatomy. Still, it's just jarring for them to have an ad-supported tier and and a "no ads" tier, with the "no ads" tier having a big ol' asterisk and "well, really almost no ads, but you still might see some".
