Show HN: Janus, explore how NYT and Fox News interpret the same story
- andrewfromx 3y agowould you like a free https cert (https://letsencrypt.org/ https://letsencrypt.org/) and a free google cloud VM to run your site? https://many.pw/hosting https://many.pw/hosting something about the http://www.janus.news/ http://www.janus.news/ no https warning kills it for me. I'm a huge http://neverssl.com/ http://neverssl.com/ fan FYI but that's for a specific purpose where you can't have https.
- samplank2 3y agoGood call -- will add https
- andrewfromx 3y agonice I see it. Should also make http://www.janus.news/ http://www.janus.news/ forward to https://www.janus.news/ https://www.janus.news/ and make http://janus.news/ http://janus.news/ and https://janus.news/ https://janus.news/ forward to the single right domain with the www. (Or make the single right domain NOT have the www.)
- colejohnson66 3y agoNot exactly the same, but GroundNews[0] is great for this same idea. They don’t do analysis of the differences though. [0]: https://ground.news/ https://ground.news/
- samplank2 3y agoLooks cool.. seems like it tells you the lean of the sources? Or am I misinterpreting?
- colejohnson66 3y agoThey try to give an unbiased and informed approach to providing the news. That's done by showing how the same story from as many news sites as possible. They then provide the leaning of said sites to allow you to decide for yourself how much to trust their reporting. It's a great system that allows one to tackle their biases head-on by seeing what their "side" is possibly leaving out of the story.
- phoenixreader 3y agoThis is very good. Are the summaries manually curated?
- samplank2 3y agoThank you! No everything is AI generated
