- LatteLazy 3y agoThat really depends: 1. You want the next guy to ALSO feel he can negotiate 2. I doubt this was ever "real". You often see mini "rebellions" like this in strong man regimes. The strong man causes/allows them to happen. Then watches who sides with the rebels, or at least does not actively side with him quickly enough. Was this ever "real" or was it Putin working with an old friend to get any discenters out of the system? Tin Foil Hat, I know...
