High-rises are not good for residential purposes. They are seriously isolating.

- ghaff 3y agoShorter buildings, multi-family homes, etc. I worked for someone (with plenty of money) who had a house in a nearby small city but wanted a place in Boston. He lived in one of the luxury high-rises for a time but he really didn't care for it. I forget if he used the "isolating" word but he definitely said he felt apart from the little people scurrying around on the streets below. He ended up buying a condo in one of the old brownstones in the city.
