In fairness, scroll bars must account for lots of non-content stuff on the page, like comments. A reading indicator can reflect where in the primary content the reader is.
- cosmotic 3y agoReading indicator can also distract and drive the reader crazy, especially when it is perpendicular to the scroll direction.
