I don't think so because I did the full LOS install, installed the Magisk app, patched the boot image, flashed the patched boot image and went through the sideloading song and dance (partitions, factory reset, LOS, magisk), opened the magisk app again, had it finish the install which required a reboot, and after that it gave me the error. There's no major problem, it's only a little annoying that I have to click away the warning whenever I run the app.
