As a person who accepts Russia's position on the war (that it is a consequence of an undeclared war US~NATO conducts against Russia), I cannot ever say this on any western forum without being immediately banned.
There is something wrong with your notion of "freedom of speech". And before you start again with " try to say x in Russia", I must say, from experience, that the freedom of speech that Russians have on their telegram channels is unthinkable on your social media.
- VK538FY 3y agoI can only presume that you are replying to the grandparent because I did not define my notion of 'freedom of speech' but provided an explanation of some very clear objectives on a strategic level that I've gathered from Russian and Chinese sources. Maybe my comment wasn't clear: I said, yes, some restrictions had been introduced. But that is only a small detail, dictated by the SMO. Every time that western media trots out the tired subject of Russian censorship, they miss the real story. But back to that small detail. If you don't believe that there are some speech restrictions because of the SMO, you only need to listen to Russian commentators who often self censor and also explain why. And if you'd like a source, here is a law that was passed by the Duma. https://sozd.duma.gov.ru/bill/1070431-7 https://sozd.duma.gov.ru/bill/1070431-7 I'm making no judgment. BTW you need a Russian VPN to read it otherwise it may not load. Western media talk about it but don't provide a link.
