As long as there will be FOSS and open hardware, there will be a chance for piracy to exist. As long as piracy will exist, there will be a chance to save the many artifacts of our modern culture. But, if these artifacts were just to distract us from preserving them in the first place, they were probably not worth to be preserved. And ho boy, how there is much distraction to be found today!
