That honestly sounds more like the goal for an elementary school class than the goal for an adult society. We don't necessarily need to support and encourage development that we don't agree worth, or even see as dangerous. And the idea that growth and achievement are always good things and should be wholly supported and encouraged sounds lovely on the surface, but there are plenty of things that could be considered achievement that we are better off without.
