Ask HN: Why does LinkedIn congratulate for things like “work anniversaries”?
- PaulHoule 3y agoKeep people engaged, not just you, but it tells your contacts who then have a reason to think about you. Lots of people celebrate anniversaries. You can get into a lot of trouble with your wife if you don't. Crazy people like to celebrate anniversaries too, particularly April 20 https://archive.ph/2B30S https://archive.ph/2B30S (Not just a holiday for pot smokers, if you take a day to light up that is a pretty mellow thing to do compared to what's talked about in that article.) If you've been working somewhere for 5 years that's a good time to take stock where you are, isn't it?
