I still have a working PS2 but no decent controller to use with it. Is it still possible to buy original ones in a decent condition, or is there some way to use PS4 or newer controllers?
- lostgame 3y agoOh; you can easily buy a new third party one from Amazon for dirt cheap I’m sure. Once you get that going, there’s a Bluetooth patch for PS4 controllers, IIRC. :)
- artsytrashcan 3y agoIf you're adventurous, I have a like-new DDR mat that's been sitting in a storage unit.
- c-hendricks 3y agoYes, with a but. You'll need OPL, it's not compatible with every game, and only the earlier DS4 controllers are supported. https://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6821 https://www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6821
- exitb 3y agoThe most reliable solution are the Brook adapters [1]. Just make sure you get one in the correct direction. The process is very simple - just connect the PS4 controller with a USB cable once, then it will pair by Bluetooth. 1. https://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/44237976/ https://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/44237976/
