The "looking for job" process was wearing for me until my friend told me a secret. Companies only give you two signals: 1) "we love you!" and 2) ghosting. Sometimes replies take a few days, which makes the two signals ambiguous. Recently a company said "no thanks", which is nice of them -- they responded. However, they also said "we'd like to talk to you!". Perhaps they have other roles for which I'm a better fit?
