Given the current situation, a reasonable level would involve a negative immigration rate.
The "temporary foreign workers" and the foreign "students" could immediately return home, for example.
- voisin 3y agoThis would help housing prices but otherwise crush GDP growth. The problem is that there are no good answers now and governments are really bad at choosing from terrible options so they’ll just find a way to kick the can down the road and make it 10x larger, which is why we are in this place to begin with.
