Threads is already giving brands more engagement than Twitter
- dotcoma 3y agoI can't wait to 'engage' with my favourite brand of butter on Threads! ;)
- 3cats-in-a-coat 3y agoThis is a bit of a puff piece, of course a brand new platform with buzz and drama surrounding it will see engagement. Twitter also saw extra engagement when Musk bought it. But that fades in time. A truer measure of its viability will be how things are going in 3 mo, 6 mo, a year.
- Zigurd 3y agoFrom the point of view of the actual customer: the brand advertiser, Threads is a safe bet while at the same time they might be calling Linda Yaccarino to ask "Are you OK?" What Threads has accomplished is hard to diminish. They pushed an MVP stage thing out the door at it didn't fail. And then it didn't fail when 100 million people signed up without any need for invitations or throttling. That's unprecedented. They have some things to navigate, like relationships with news providers. But that's not difficult because Twitter is so good at keeping them happy. It's difficult for reasons Meta can fix.
- herdcall 3y agoNot as big an accomplishment as you say IMO because Threads is just an add-on to a fully functional Instagram app that has 2.3+ BILLION users, it's not an independent app by any means. So yeah, not that hard to keep it from crashing.

- throwaway798214 3y agoI wonder how long until Threads comes to Europe, especially now that EU and US have agreed on data sharing (EU personal data can be kept in US).
