- hnick 3y agoI don't know about the setting, but when I have Visual Studio and Github Desktop on dark mode, they'll often overlap and it's not obvious which window I am clicking on if I'm trying to snag the title bar to move one. Also, even basic Explorer windows often lose their borders when logging in via RDP, leading to white on white mayhem, but I've always assumed that's a bug.
- magic_hamster 3y agoGreat example. Whatever happened to the fat colorful window borders? I miss Aero.
- sundvor 3y agoYep exactly this. VSCode lets you set a "Title Bar Style" setting to "native", but that was a seriously hard find. It would blend into Teams, where only a hideous "high contrast" mode would render borders. The list keeps going on and on. I've used a registry "hack" (manually added a setting) to set the colour of inactive windows, this does improve things a bit when it works. I prefer eg a dark grey as inactive, and eg orange for active window. I'm blocked from upgrading my work PC to Windows 11 unfortunately.
