I find it interesting to listen to pop music from the early days of the web and listen to the references which were new then, but still make sense now Mousse T vs Hot n Juicy - Horny ‘98 (sent a message through the internet, but it rejected) Eminem - I’m Back, The Real Slim Shady (Ken Kaniff from the internet, download her audio on MP3) I’m sure there are more, and like the OP, some references show up in music videos too.

Afroman - Sell your dope (Sell crack through internet, but not yet) UGK - The game belongs to me (Pimpin ain't dead, it just moved to the web, Bitch ain't gotta hit the track, ain't gotta give no tricks no head, Ain't gotta give no tricks no pussy, just cameras and screens Easiest money you can get, it's the American Dream) Another really interesting one though is to see how many songs mention Donald Trump back in 90s/Early 2000s

  >Another really interesting one though is to see how many songs mention Donald Trump back in 90s/Early 2000s I wonder if the same would apply to Ronald Reagan before his presidency?

Eiffel 65 - My Console mentions the PlayStation and many PS game franchises that were new back then and are still relevant today. With German lyrics, there's also - Das Modul - Kleine Maus - Blümchen - Herz an Herz (not in the lyrics but some sort of online chat is implied in the music video)

It's all about the Pentiums, baby

Not pop, but one that I always loved: Billy Talent - Perfect World (control-alt-deleted, reset my memory) As a young programmer into pop-punk-rock, that reference always put a smile on my face. It stood out so much for me
