Hi, as a former employee of Couchsurfing, I just want to say: it’s great that you’re thinking about revenue and reciprocity upfront.

- totallywrong 3y agoLast time I checked the app for events, it pushed you to pay for verification (blue badge a la twitter) so that you'd appear more trustworthy to others.
- janus24 3y agoRight now I can't access any part of the website if I don't pay 15€.
- rambambram 3y agoAs an active host on Couchsurfing, I want to thank you and your former teammates for one of the best initiatives ever. I've been hosting people from all over the world for some time now, and I really like the community! It's bringing me so much joy to host a world traveler from Poland one day, and a transgender Iranian guy on a bicycle trip the next day.
- 1231112315123 3y agoIs Couchsurfing still alive? When they blocked access for free users, my impression (after paying) was that very little of the community remained.
- rambambram 3y agoAlive and kicking! Well, at least for me and the five people that I hosted in the last two months. I happily pay 1.99 euros a month, if only for supporting the idea.
- mbgerring 3y agoYou’re the one doing all the important work! I joined at kind of a bad time for the company, and I’ve been an active user for longer than I was an employee.
