Higher education is shockingly right-wing
- llamaimperative 3y agoThis isn't what right- and left-wing means in today's politics (if it ever did). The author is just pointing out that the ruling class is all the ruling class and they like classes. As a staunch liberal, the fact that the "lefty" ruling class is as much a protector of class preference as anyone else is simply an indictment of the lefty ruling class. More to the point, it's an indictment of the lefty public's tacit approval of class warfare conducted with sufficient lip service toward equality along the "correct" dimensions. It doesn't make the ruling class right-wing.
