100% this! I was bemoaning this earlier, I am using the S8 to do exactly the same as I did 6 years ago when I bought it but not only is it much slower than it was when I first bought it (for some reason) but various apps and integrations are already stopping support for Android 9 which is the latest version that Samsung have made available to the phone. Only the other day, I got a message from Slack telling me their client won't support Android 9 any more, even though, like most apps, I still use the same features I always did. Groan!
