Let me put it this way, 'c' as in speed of light is distance traveled per unit of time right? It's the universal causality variable. What I am suggesting is time travel, at constant time if speed of light is S, instead of increasing how much distance you travel, you decrease how much time has passed at the same time you increase the distance traveled while being under S. Your travel would be much greater than if you were doing S at current linear time. So when you reach the speed of light and add even more energy to your spacecraft, you start inverting time and going back in it. All the laws of causality and physics are preserved because your travel isn't just in timr but spacetime, the point where you start inverting time is so far away from your origin that it is impossible for anything you do will affect your origin before your departure.
