As much as she should be punished for what she did, I can't help but feel that putting her in prison is a waste of tax payer money.
She's not a danger to society, put her under house arrest, ban her from jobs relating to medical and financial services etc.
- prepend 3y ago> She's not a danger to society She’s a danger of causing massive fraud again. She can cause fraud while under house arrest. Danger doesn’t just mean violence. She did a horrible thing and harmed thousands of people financially. She needs to be in jail for a long time to protect society from her.
- adave 3y agoDid you follow any of her misdoings? It was highly probable that people would have gotten incorrect medical test results due to her fraud product. Such people get a taste of things like the WeWork guy and keep scamming the system with their fake ass charisma.
- BugsJustFindMe 3y agoSo fine her all the way into insolvency and assign community service. How does her imprisonment help her victims?
- matt-attack 3y agoImprisonment was never intended to help victims. It serves as a deterrent to other would-be fraudsters.
- BugsJustFindMe 3y agoFines into insolvency plus community service can do just as much to deter and would be more beneficial to everyone else. Imprisoning people is expensive.
- donohoe 3y agoSo do you think anyone should be imprisoned unless they are a danger to society?
