A great point! I guess I don't really consider processor design/fabbing to be consumer electronics/hardware. The eventual customer is a consumer, but that consumer (IMO) is a customer of an OEM like Dell.
- yyyk 3y agoThe entire 'microcomputer' consumer business started from the low end and eventually displaced mainframes from everywhere but some financial institutions. Apple itself started from the low end (Apple I and II computers).
