Really bad/misleading/factually-incorrect headline. They use a 40yo computer to control an industrial machine for making cloth, not to design clothing. Which is pretty common.
- rib3ye 3y agoAgree. The original title was “Japanese textile factory still uses tape cassettes and punch cards”. When I woke up in the morning it was changed (by a mod?).
- tagawa 3y agoThe title change confused me too, and seems to be happening more often. Feels like a net-negative to me.
- somedude895 3y agoThe YT channel seems to be run by a Japanese, so it's probably not malicious.
- yakubin 3y agoThe title on YT it autotranslated by YT. If you change UI language in your account settings on Google/YT, the title of the video will change as well. Truly horrible, but in-character for Google when it comes to localisation.
