Why China’s Young People Are Not Getting Married
- valval 3y agoHow about we start with easing the cultural pressure and focusing on creating a stable economy? Maybe then, marriage won't seem like a high-stakes gamble but a natural step in life's journey. If all else fails, there's always state-sponsored dating events. Nothing says romance like government intervention, am I right?
- aurareturn 3y agoYou can change the country name in the title to just about any developed/semi-developed country. Japan, SK, many parts of the US, European countries, etc.
- sylware 3y agoNot China here: not able to provide, and that stable on the long run, for the family? Well... roughly speaking, you can go to hell (where you are kind of already anyway).
- red-iron-pine 3y ago'not being able to provide" -- plenty of people in poor countries manage to have kids, often with far less resources and stability.
