The money is paid for Wayland to make sure the FOSS desktop will stay sub-3%. You obviously don't understand the concept of sabotage. (And yes literally millions of dollars have been invested into Wayland)
- robertlagrant 3y agoMillions of dollars sounds like a lot until you realise a million dollars is a team of 5 for a year.
- vetinari 3y agoMillions were invested into Automotive Grade Linux, of which Wayland is a part. Minus the xdg-shell stuff, of course, which isn't needed there.
