A very cool demo but most of the output has no value as it is calculating the shadows on the top of the tree canopy rather than the "ground" (hence why you get sunlight even at dawn in a dense forest) But this would be very useful for many applications at the edges of forests and for urban vegetation, in that use case the map tiles can be much smaller and maybe the Lidar data can be fetched and converted on demand.
