Elon said Taiwan should be governed like HK? Do you have a link? Was this a tweet? Warren Buffet being a very early investor in BYD, and Apple, has also been extremely pro Chinese government. Google famously started writing Dragonfly (actually Modifying their core search algorithm to be more Chinese censorship friendly). Aforementioned Apple has historically supported China and continues to do so, even opening new lines of manufacturing related to the fabrics/materials relating to Vision Pro. As usual - people are upset with Elons words but ignore everyone else’s actions. I find the same in the car industry. The Germans/Japanese car industry are literally remnants of the nazi and Japanese empire and they also signed that agreement… but some how musk is again the bad guy - what? People are nuts.

Your examples are quite different from that. Buffet and Apple have profited/continue to profit off China but hope you don't notice, they aren't enthusiastically praising how much better it is than the US and saying things about Taiwan that the government wants. Especially seeing Google cited is funny since it was an exploratory project that got nixed when more of the company found about it, and they've been famously uncooperative with China.

  Right so you are judging words over action. Exactly my point. Google example, clearly Page and Brin knew, and thought it was ok. Just caved to company pressure. Apple don’t talk about it, but clearly think it. Musks suggestion (after being directly asked) on Taiwan was: a SER type setup more lenient than HK. I don’t agree with his assessment. But id hardly call it advocating, he is asked constantly every single interview. No one asks these other CEOs.
