Spot on. The subtext of the headline seems to be "... and therefore should be prohibited". Which is an incredibly dangerous and arrogant idea. Science is just one of many, many human endeavors. It's not something that's in a class of its own and must be possible to conduct to the exclusion of everything else, which is what those people appear to believe. Anytime you feel that scientists should be the ones running the world, you can look to incidents like this one to cure you of that thought.
