That works for some types of code and fails for other types. If you have very long lived but memory heavy apps, allocations really matter...
- astrange 3y agoThere's other ways to avoid the problem. One is to just restart the whole process every so often. Also, copies are not bad and they're often a better tradeoff than microoptimizing all your lifetimes.
