Against URL-Based Content Rendering
- pcmaffey 3y agoCan you elaborate on the type of text content that would get the attention of authorities? I’d expect spam, and if multimedia was allowed, then that’s obvious. But I am perhaps too naive to have a clear threat model for text-based ugc that would need to be filtered.

- josephcsible 3y agotl;dr: If you build a website that includes part of the URL in the output, someone can get your whole site taken down by submitting a takedown request citing a URL with something illegal in it. E.g. www.example.com/?echo=09+F9+...
