Ask HN: Should HN one-tap actions require confirms on mobile?
I just noticed: Holy moly I've flagged a lot of stuff over time by accident with errant taps on my phone. Do other people do this too? Do one click actions maybe warrant a "tap to confirm" feature when rendered on mobile?
Or maybe I'm just uncoordinated or weird in that I read the site primarily on my phone?
- josephcsible 3y agoDeletion already requires confirmation, and can't everything else be easily undone just as easily as it was done?
- NoZebra120vClip 3y agoCan't you just "unflag"? Why would an undoable action require confirmation?
- kristianp 3y agoDownvotes perhaps should have confirmations, because if you accidentally downvote, all you see is an "unvote" link. At times I'm unsure of which way I voted. I've taken to zooming the page large enough so that I'm confident that the right arrow has been pressed.
- josephcsible 3y agoDoesn't it say "undown" instead of "unvote" when you downvote?
