This looks interesting. Curious how many automotive organizations would uptake this. Is this a fork of another distribution or created from scratch? I could not find anything in the About section. Is there a history article on AGL somewhere?
[Edit] Answering my own question. Found some history on AGL on Wikipedia [1] Apparently based on Tizen [2] which was based on Bada, created by Samsung. It appears to already have many members [3] though I am unsure what it means to be a Silver Member.

Automotive Grade Linux is a collaborative open source project that is bringing together automakers, suppliers and technology companies to accelerate the development and adoption of a fully open software stack for the connected car. With Linux at its core, AGL is developing an open platform from the ground up that can serve as the de facto industry standard to enable rapid development of new features and technologies.' 1]fully open software stack for the connected car 2]Linux at its core 3]open platform from the ground up 4]serve as the de facto industry standard
