Ask HN: Mine YouTube search is completely useless now. Are your's too?
Results returned are nonsense and not related to the keywords at all.
- NoZebra120vClip 3y agoSearch works fine for me. Are you on iOS, Android, or desktop?
- tuga 3y agoThe results contain what yt wants you to see, not what you searched for.
- nevernothing 3y agoYou can use Google's video search or use advanced search filters like "intitle:", "description:" directly in YouTube. I made a search form for YouTube with advanced search filters: https://playlists.at/youtube/search/ https://playlists.at/youtube/search/
- max_ 3y agoI don't know why your being down voted but this is actually very useful
- weare138 3y agoYT changed something. I now get a handful of somewhat relevant results that quickly spiral off into unrelated clickbait. A couple alternatives I use are DuckDuckGo's video search or using the 'site:youtube.com' search operator in Google.
- max_ 3y agoIt's just messed up now days. I am trying to find an old Nassim Taleb video (10 years+) where he was talking about the "Fooled by Randomnes" book. He was interviewed by some journalist. The problem is the you can't eve filter by time published now and there are alot of off topic videos in the search results. Along with trash YouTube Shorts videos.
