- codetrotter 3y agoIt’s not just Canada. Other countries have been threatening similar laws before, and more countries will do so as well in the future. Meta knows this. Taking that into account is good. Also, they want to differentiate this Thread place from other places. Saying that news is not the point is a good idea I think. Even though I don’t like Meta and don’t want them to succeed.
