Haha. Oh man, if you could see through my eyes (pun intended).
Mass production of Vision Pro like products will be the fastest way to $199 A/R devices in the hands of global consumers, without subsidizing hardware costs through the sales of other services or their personal/usage information.
However, Apple itself has little incentive to sell hardware at that price. (What is that, a wheel for a MacPro or something?) They keep their APIs proprietary which prevents third-parties from offering more affordable options. On the other hand, IF they were to open up, the risk is that half of Asia would rise up again and produce knock offs that drive them out of business. So we need to solve for this problem.
Find The Way that allows Apple to open all of its significant systems for access by third-parties, but that also protects the market for Apple's options. Not so easy, but also not impossible.
All I can say, is they better make.nice() with Tim Sweeney and pay more attention to what Eben Upton is doing. Unity is a steaming pile run by a moron https://youtu.be/F6d58HIe01A https://youtu.be/F6d58HIe01A
